Cory has been creating art for as long as he can remember. His earliest memories are of painting folk art beside his grandmother, a formative experience that rooted his practice in both tradition and personal expression. That foundation eventually led him to study Fine Art at North Dakota State University in Fargo, where he continued to expand his visual language and commitment to lifelong creativity.

Cory’s work often centers on the human form—distorted, stylized, and infused with elements of fashion and bold color. These figures bend reality, revealing emotional tension, personality, and movement through exaggeration and vibrant palettes. Alongside this figurative exploration, Cory is deeply drawn to abstract expressionism, using energetic shapes, layered textures, and dynamic color relationships to build compositions that feel spontaneous yet intentional. Across both styles, his goal remains constant: to create something beautiful, expressive, and visually compelling.

Over the years, Cory has exhibited his work in numerous shows throughout the Twin Cities and Fargo, sharing his evolving artistic voice with a wide range of audiences and continuing to build a strong presence in the regional art community.
